WHIP IT SOUNDTRACK

The song "Breeze" from Shall Noise Upon will be featured in the upcoming Drew Barrymore directed movie, "Whip It". The movie stars Ellen Page of "Juno" fame.

The soundtrack is compiled by Randall Poster, who put together the soundtracks for the Wes Anderson movies among others. It also features classic tracks from the Ramones and Dolly Pardon, as well as jams from a bunch of other new bands. Drew Barrymore was recently quoted in the Boston globe... "Barrymore's "Whip It'' soundtrack features a song by Boston band Apollo Sunshine. "It's beautiful,'' Barrymore said of the Apollo song "Breeze". "It ends the movie. It was just a perfect song. I fought to get it on the soundtrack.''

The movie opens on October 2....

Fearless Music TV is on Saturday nights at 12:30am on Fox 5 in NYC, if you are not in NYC, check out the time and channel listing at the Fearless Music Myspace blog to find out when and where else it will air: Fearless Blog.

So....
Little change of plans over here at Apollo Mission Command Sunshine Central...

UK friends, The Dirty Pretty Things are have asked us to tour England and Ireland with them this October and November...

These will be the Dirty Pretty Things' last shows, as they just announced they will be breaking up after this tour...

so....

Apollo Sunshine is gonna go to England and Ireland and rock these giant sold out farewell shows!
we just gotta, ya know?!!! ~

this unfortunately means , we have to cancel a few U.S. shows...
we PROMISE we will be back very soon to make these shows up...
we are gonna be on the road a lot now, SHALL NOISE UPON'ing all over...
if it is your wish to, you will most assuredly spend an evening with us real soon....
(we hope you understand why we can't pass up an opportunity like this!)
